Jamesons Journalists Collect Shoes for Kenya
Our Texas chapter, Jamesons's Journalists, helped a former classmate collect 1,000 pairs of shoes for those in need in Kenya.How did the shoes come about? They were part of a display that educated the public about child abuse in Galveston County, Texas.
Ms. Jamesons's students connected the two causes and gave those shoes a new lease on life. In "journalese," we say "those shoes have legs!" :)
"I can't believe that all I had to do was make a phone call and then 927 people who need shoes get shoes," Rawya Jabari said. "I love the fact that I was able to help, it was easy and so many people will benefit."

I think that it is one the best effort done by them. Because today there is much more poverty in Kenya. If we will give them a shoes that we threw away to recycle, is good social work done by us.
